Thank you so much to team who produced our palm crosses for this year's Palm Sunday service! There was lots of learning and laughing going on in the WMC lower hall on Friday morning as these works of art were being produced :)
Sunday marks the start of Holy Week and, even in the midst of the praise and the palms and the shouts of Hosanna, it is sobering to remember that the same crowd who wanted Jesus crowned king on this day were calling for his execution just five days later. People are fickle, it seems, and the unspectacular virtue of faithfulness is not always a given.
If you are in one of our services this weekend, hold on to that little green cross and put it somewhere where you can see it each daily. May it be a reminder of the choice we make each day to acknowledge Jesus as king in the practical details of our daily lives.
